Jenn Nyikos, owner of Fun By The Yard in South Bend, Indiana, is a trailblazer in the balloon décor industry. With over a decade of experience, she has transformed countless celebrations with her creative balloon artistry. Her journey began in 2011 with surprise yard card displays, delivering joy under cover of night with life-sized celebratory messages. This passion quickly expanded into balloon décor, leading Jenn to immerse herself in the craft, earning her Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) designation and continuously refining her expertise.
From Small Surprises to Spectacular Installations
What started as a charming side business grew into a full-fledged balloon décor enterprise. By 2013, Jennifer was offering balloon arches, garlands, and centerpieces, pushing her creativity to new heights. Her company, Fun By The Yard, is now synonymous with innovative and high-quality balloon installations, from intimate gatherings to large-scale corporate events. Whether crafting intricate organic balloon garlands or executing grand event transformations, Jenn’s meticulous attention to detail ensures every project exceeds expectations.
A Recognized Leader in the Balloon Industry
Jenn has earned national and international recognition for her talent and leadership in balloon artistry. She has been selected as an artist for the prestigious Big Balloon Build five times, participating in large-scale balloon installations that have raised over $130,000 for charity. In 2024, she played a key role in bringing the Big Balloon Build to Indiana, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana.
Her expertise was further recognized when she was invited to join the elite team behind the 100,000-balloon drop at the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Jenn worked alongside some of the best balloon artists in the industry to create this iconic moment, highlighting her technical skill and collaborative spirit.
