– Our Story –
What started in 2004 with an arch held together by paper clips has grown into one of Boise’s go-to balloon décor companies!
Back then, we had no idea that one little arch would lead us into a business filled with color, laughter, and larger-than-life designs.
Brad – The Magic Behind the Balloons
Brad has been performing magic since the age of 8, and by 1994 he was doing his very first paid magic show. In 1996, Sherry gave him a balloon animal kit for Christmas—which quickly turned into the loudest Christmas ever with balloons constantly popping as he practiced! Brad didn’t give up though—he got really good, really fast. Before long, he was working in restaurants, going table to table with pocket magic and balloon twisting that delighted kids and adults alike.
The business was first launched under the name Magic Man Brad & Balloons, where Brad focused on entertainment and Sherry began to explore the décor side. Today, Brad still works a full-time job during the day but continues to share his passion for magic and balloons on nights and weekends. He now performs weekly at four restaurants in the Treasure Valley, and spends his Fridays and Saturdays bringing laughter and amazement to birthdays, schools, and corporate events with his magic shows and balloon animals.
Sherry – Building the Décor Dream
In 2015, Sherry officially took over the décor side of the business and never looked back. During COVID, she taught herself how to twist balloons so she could bring her creative designs to life.
In 2019, we got our first work van—a huge step that let us take on bigger orders. Then in 2020, Sherry tuned into Q Corner’s virtual convention and was instantly HOOKED. By 2021, she joined Team Dino at Balloon Wonderland, earned her Certified Balloon Artist (CBA) designation, and hasn’t stopped since. Before 2021, Sherry’s balloon knowledge came mostly from YouTube tutorials, and she’ll be the first to admit she wishes she had started attending conventions much earlier!
Today, Sherry works full-time in the business, creating stunning balloon décor for events of all sizes. Her next big dream is to secure a workshop so she can finally move the balloons out of the house and into a space built for making even more magic.
Where We Are Now
In January 2025, we rebranded to Magical Balloons of Boise—a name that perfectly reflects both the entertainment and décor sides of what we do. Together, Brad and Sherry make the perfect team: Brad brings the magic, Sherry brings the décor, and together they bring the WOW to every event.
